Executive Summary available of April 27 Spring Learning Event

Representatives of employers, providers, brokers and BHCG strategic partners gathered on April 27 at Briggs & Stratton for BHCG’s Spring Learning Event. Attendees heard from leaders of the Midwest Business Group on Health (MBGH), about trends in benefit design evolution and MBGH’s National Employer Initiative on Specialty Pharmacy. An executive summary with a link to a slide presentation is available for review on the BHCG website.

BHCG annual report available this summer

The BHCG’s 2015 annual report summarizing the accomplishments and activities of last year, will be available this summer. It will be posted to the BHCG website and will also be distributed to you via email. Geoffrey Schick participates on panel at a Waukesha County Business Alliance program

Geoffrey Schick, the BHCG’s executive director recently participated on a panel discussion for a program for the Waukesha County Business Alliance. The Alliance, one of the BHCG’s Sponsoring Organizations, sponsored the program on June 17 entitled, Leading Health Care Concepts Today & Tomorrow. Joining Geoff on the panel were: Susan Edwards, President & CEO, ProHealth Care, Donna Owens, Vice President of Business Development, QuadMed and Jim Mueller, CEO, Mueller QAAS. Moderating the panel was Sandy Wysocki, Chief Development Officer, United Performing Arts Fund.

Panelists shared their insights with local employers about:

  • The new, evolving models of health care delivery
  • How to provide the best health care benefits to employees
  • How to get the best return on their benefit dollar investment
  • What their next steps should be and how to plan for tomorrow
