Upcoming events of interest

Three events, scheduled in the next several months, should be of interest to our readers.

  • BHCG executive director emeritus, Dianne Kiehl, will be the keynote speaker at the Mental Health America of Wisconsin’s fourth annual Eat, Learn, Give Fundraising Event.  The event, scheduled for May 13, from 5:30 – 7:00, will be held at the Italian Community Center. The program for this year’s event, Your Bottom Line: Making Mental Health a Business Priority, will focus on mental health in the workplace and how it impacts employers’ bottom lines.  Learn more about the event and register now.
  • On May 19, The Alliance, the Madison area’s business health care coalition, will hold its annual seminar. This year’s 25th Anniversary Celebration will be held be held at The Monona Terrace from 8:00 –11:30 AM. Register now and see Dianne Kiehl receive an inaugural Health Transformation Award and hear keynote speaker, Dr. Otis Webb Brawley, chief medical and scientific officer of the American Cancer Society.
  • Save the date: The BHCG Annual Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday morning, September 30. Watch for more details coming soon.

Finally, a big thank you to all who attended BHCG’s “Hot Topics” Learning Event on April 22 at Briggs and Stratton. The program provided valuable insights and strategies from several industry experts about two important benefit issues confronting employers today – specialty drugs and smoking cessation programs.  An executive summary of the morning’s proceedings will be distributed soon and will also be posted to our website.
