Updated BHCG Marketing Collaterals Now Available
As BHCG continues to evolve by adding best in class strategic partner solutions offering value to employers (locally and nationwide), it becomes necessary to update our portfolio of communication materials. These materials play an essential role in communicating the value proposition of BHCG membership.
Recently we updated a collateral regarding our strategic partnership with Navitus Health Solutions, our pharmacy benefit management partner. We have also updated our BHCG Value Proposition that provides an overview of how we are leading change and creating value for our member employers, their employees and the community. These updated materials join our collateral detailing our partnership with Quantum Health, our consumer navigation and care coordination partner.
BHCG Launches Phase II of its Medically Homeless Campaign
Research has consistently shown the medically homeless – those without an established relationship with a primary care physician (PCP) – tend to seek care from higher cost options (e.g., emergency departments, urgent care facilities) and are less likely to have recommended health care screenings.
In the fourth quarter of 2019, in collaboration with Engagement Solutions, BHCG initiated Phase I of a multi-dimensional campaign to address medical homelessness among employees and spouses of its member employers. The campaign addressed the following topics:
- Build member awareness of the importance of having a PCP with an added focus of choosing a Premium Care Physician/Tier 1 provider
- Need to routinely obtain preventive care including an annual physical and recommended screenings
- Value of seeking care in the most appropriate setting (redirect inappropriate ER or urgent care use to a PCP visit)
Members who were identified as medically homeless received information about these topics via home mailers and follow-up emails. Employers were provided intranet and newsletter content along with a video to share with members. Phase I results will be available in the second quarter.
Phase II of the campaign will occur in June, July and August of 2020. Member employers can choose to participate in Phase II if they meet any of the following criteria:
- Employers who did not have the necessary data for the 2019 campaign, but do now
- Employers who opted out of the 2019 campaign
- Employers who participated in the 2019 campaign and want to participate with their newly eligible employees
- Employers who are still without the necessary data can choose to send the home mailers and follow-up emails to all their employees.
These materials, along with the video will available in April in the BHCG online communications library for member employers.
2020 Delivering Value Series Symposiums
2019 saw the initiation of our Delivering Value Series (DVS) – symposiums designed to educate employers, their advisors, providers and other health care and benefits stakeholders about the value of membership in BHCG. We are presently planning the details of our 2020 DVS symposiums.
Like last year, these events will be open to anyone and free to attend. We look forward to seeing you at our 2020 DVS symposiums. Watch for more information coming soon.
