The Opioid Crisis: Gathering Forces to Confront the Epidemic
Thursday, April 26, 2018
No geographic region, no employer and no segment of the population is immune to the devastating effects of this major public health crisis. Hear personal stories of the opioid epidemic’s consequences and what the State of Wisconsin, health care providers and others are doing to address it – and what consumers, providers and payers can do to join in the fight.
All stakeholders – employers, brokers/consultants, health care system representatives and community members – will gain valuable insights from four powerful presentations that span the spectrum of the opioid problem: personal experience, law enforcement, legislative leadership and addiction treatment.
Learn from individuals who have made a significant impact on the opioid conversation and the development of solutions:
- Shatterproof Founder, Chairman and CEO Gary Mendell
- Attorney General of the State of Wisconsin Brad Schimel
- Wisconsin State Representative John Nygren (R-Marinette)
- Michael Miller, MD – Director of Addiction Program Development and Training, Rogers Behavioral Health
