Celebrating 20 Years of Leading Change and Creating Value

In 2023 we celebrated 20 years of employer community collaboration working toward a better, more sustainable health care system, culminating with a celebration event on November 15 at the Italian Community Center.

The event, attended by approximately 150 health care stakeholders from numerous organizations across the state, provided a great afternoon of impactful presentations, an enlightening panel discussion and the awarding of the BHCG Paul Purcell Leading Change, Creating Value Award. A cocktail reception and networking followed the meeting.

Delivering Value Series Symposiums

On May 4 we conducted a Delivering Value Series symposium entitled, The Results Are In: Change Is Possible, highlighting the extraordinary results of the first year of the BHCG-Centivo high-performance health plan solution exclusively for BHCG member employers. The symposium featured a keynote from Ashok Subramanian, CEO and Founder of Centivo along with presentations from an employer, a benefit advisor and BHCG’s strategic consultant. A video recording, slide presentation and BHCG overview from the day are available on the BHCG website.

Educational Forum

In conjunction with Covering Wisconsin, Milwaukee Enrollment, Network Milwaukee Health Care Partnership and The Alliance, BHCG sponsored a webinar on May 18, entitled Medicaid Unwinding: What Employers Need to Know. With the public health emergency related to the pandemic expiring, Medicaid enrollees are required to reapply for Medicaid coverage or look for another form of health care coverage.

Staff from Covering Wisconsin provided resources and guidance for employers as they prepare to assist employees in transitioning from, or reapplying for, Medicaid coverage. A video recording of the webinar and Covering Wisconsin’s slide presentation are available on the BHCG  website.

Benefits Forum

Benefits Forums offer opportunities for member employers to gather periodically to learn from industry experts, BHCG’s best in class strategic partners and each other about pressing issues related to health care benefits. On December 6 BHCG member employers gathered at BMO’s facility in Brookfield for a Benefits Roundtable discussion. This meeting provided a great opportunity for member employers to share benefit plan information and strategies with colleagues. Member employers find this type of sharing invaluable, as it allows them to ask questions, get input from colleagues and hear lessons learned.
