Communication Changes Coming in 2018
Membership organizations need to effectively communicate with their members using various resources and media. Recently we assessed what we communicate and how we communicate it. To better serve our membership, we are planning the following changes:
- The focus of our three times yearly Monitor newsletter will change. Previously the Monitor provided in-depth articles focusing on industry news related to health care, insurance and benefits trends. The newsletter will now feature stories about BHCG member employers and how they successfully used components of the BHCG membership value proposition. Watch for the first edition in the next few months that will feature a new name and rebrand.
- BHCG blog content will move from broader, industry-related news to BHCG-specific topics that will allow us to communicate items on a more timely basis.
- Documents that fellow member employers have used to communicate benefits information will be added to the Idea Library in the Members Only portal. The Idea Library gives employers access to already developed employee communication materials from BHCG member employers that can be modified to "fit" their organization.
Best Doctors' Products and Pricing for 2018
In the fourth quarter of 2017 BHCG entered into a new, expanded agreement with Best Doctors, our informed decision-making vendor since 2012. The new agreement offers even more advantageous pricing to BHCG member employers and new product offerings. As a result of this new agreement and the increased membership of BHCG overall, more employers are offering Best Doctors' services to their employees and dependents. The Best Doctors flyer identifies current pricing for both core services and optional products available to member employers.
