BHCG Engages New Strategic Consultant

We are pleased to announce BHCG has retained the services of Dave Osterndorf, FSA, partner and chief actuary at Health Exchange Resources (HER), to provide strategic support to our organization in the continuing evolution of the BHCG health strategy. Dave is an acknowledged industry leader with more than 30 years of experience in employer-sponsored health care.

“I see my role as helping BHCG continue to make progress building on the positive changes it’s made in the local marketplace.” Dave explains. “The ability to make eastern Wisconsin a showcase for engaging patients and health care providers with the goal of high quality, cost-efficient health services is very compelling.”

Dave will also play a crucial role in ensuring our organization gets optimal support from our administrative partner, UnitedHealthcare. In addition, we will utilize his experience and contacts to identify appropriate local resources in the consultant and broker community on a project-specific basis.

Dave has had assignments with some of the largest employers in the country and has past experience working with BHCG as a chief strategist and actuary in his role with a major consulting firm – putting him in a prime position to help us continue our mission of leading health care change and creating value for employers, employees and the community.

“One of the reasons I’m excited for this opportunity is because many BHCG employers are organizations I’ve worked with through the years. The member companies’ CEOs are committed to BHCG’s success and are willing to take the necessary risk to find a better solution,” Dave says.
