Fees for BHCG employers set for 2017

The BHCG Executive Steering Committee has set the membership fee for 2017 at $15.00 per eligible participant. We are pleased to announce 2017 represents the fourth straight year the membership fee has remained at $15.00 per eligible participant.

As in the past, an "eligible participant" includes all active employees who are eligible to take their company sponsored health plan offering, regardless of carrier, even if an employee chooses not to enroll. The employee must reside or work within the twenty-two (22)* eligible counties of Brown, Calumet, Dodge, Door, Fond du Lac, Green Lake, Jefferson, Kenosha, Kewaunee, Manitowoc, Milwaukee, Outagamie, Ozaukee, Racine, Rock, Sheboygan, Walworth, Washington, Waukesha, Waupaca, Waushara and Winnebago. An eligible participant will also include retirees if the retired employee is enrolled in the company sponsored health plan offering, regardless of carrier and resides within the twenty-two (22)* eligible counties. If a retired employee waives coverage, the company will not be required to pay a participation fee for such retired employee. A "Company Member Sponsored Plan" is defined as a plan that requires the employer to file Form 5500, Annual Return/Report of Employee Benefit Plan.

The BHCG has delivered significant value for our members and the community at large and we look forward to continuing to do so in 2017. Invoices will be mailed in late November and payment is due by January 13. *Legacy member employers will have grandfather status until 1/1/18 and will only pay a participation fee based on the original eleven (11) county service area.
